Comprehensive Prepreg System
Gurit offers a comprehensive prepreg range with self-developed phenolic, cyanate-ester and bezoxazine resin systems, reinforced with various fibre fabrics, hybrids or unidirectional (UD) tapes. Gurit prepregs are used in a wide range of rail projects from High-Speed to Subway trains offering a wide range of applicability, customized handling and excellent quality.
DIVERSE APPLICATIONS, DIVERSE MATERIALS
- PH840 Low volatile phenolic system for fast curing processes with excellent surface quality with the highest fire, smoke and toxicity properties
- PN900 Specialized cyanate ester system for epoxy like surface quality and similar fire retardancy to phenolics
- SPRINT® Prepreg system ST 70 for exterior structures (or ST 70FR for fire retardancy) e.g. for train-front-ends in combination with Corecell™ structural foam core, e.g. T500
- EP121 Co-curing epoxy systems for combination with phenolic system PF801 for co-curing applications
- PB1000 Zero volatile benzoxazine system combines high laminate performance (similar to epoxy) with the highest fire, smoke and toxicity properties (similar to phenolic) – under development
