CORE MATERIALS DATASHEETS

Core Materials - Wind Energy

  • Balsaflex® - Balsa Wood Core Material (v3)
Balsaflex® is a typical density balsa wood core material. When an application requires high strength, stiffness and cost effectiveness, Balsaflex® is a suitable solution due to a good balance between cost, properties and weight.
  • Corecell™ K-Foam – Structural Foam Core (v7)
Corecell™ K-Foam is a development of Corecell™ T-Foam with higher temperature stability for processing under vacuum. It shares Corecell™ T-Foam’s exceptional balance of toughness and stiffness.
  • Corecell™ T300 Structural Foam Core (v3)
Corecell™ T300 is a structural Foam Core which is suitable for all PVC core applications. It has excellent mechanical properties with outstanding chemical resistance which is ideal for resin infusion
  • Corecell™ T-Foam – Structural Foam Core (v8)
Corecell™ T-Foam has been developed as a technological step-change from traditional PVC and Balsa structural core. It has slightly higher stiffness properties and even greater styrene resistance than the more ductile Corecell™ A-Foam. Supplied in following grades/densities: T400, T500, T550, T600, T800
  • G-PET - Recyclable Structural Foam (v7)
Highly adaptable, recyclable, thermoplastic foam with good balance of mechanical properties, temperature resistance, density and cost for a wide range of applications and production processes.
  • PVCell® G-Foam - Structural Foam Core (v9)WE
PVCell® G-Foam is a closed cell, crosslinked PVC foam.

Core Materials - Marine

  • Balsaflex® - Balsa Wood Core Material (v3) SP-HM
Balsaflex® is a typical density balsa wood core material. When an application requires high strength, stiffness and cost effectiveness, Balsaflex® is a suitable solution due to a good balance between cost, properties and weight.
  • Corecell™ A-Foam – Structural Core Material (v9)SP-HM
Corecell™ A-Foam is the original Corecell material, developed because of frustrations with inadequate PVC core technology in marine sandwich structures. Corecell A-Foam is well known for it’s incredible toughness and resistance to cracking.
  • Corecell™ M-Foam – The Marine Foam (v5)
Corecell™ M-Foam has been developed to deliver one product for all Marine applications. It provides a unique combination of high shear strength with low density, high elongation, high temperature resistance and low resin uptake.
  • Corecell™ P-Foam – Structural Core Material (v7)SP-HM
Corecell™ P-Foam is a development of Corecell™ A-Foam, intended for prepreg and SPRINT® manufacturing processes.
  • Corecell™ S-Foam – Structural Foam Core (v8)SP-HM
Corecell™ S-Foam has been designed specifically for use in sub-sea buoyancy applications. Its resistance to crushing means that it can withstand depths of over 900m, and its closed-cell structure gives it a high water resistance.
  • G-PET - Recyclable Structural Foam (v1) SP-HM
G-PET Recyclable structural foam is a highly adaptable, recyclable, thermoplastic core material with good balance of mechanical properties, temperature resistance, density and cost for a wide range of applications and processes.
  • PVCell® G-Foam - Structural Foam Core (v2) SP-HM
PVCell® G-Foam is a closed cell, cross-linked PVC foam. It provides superior strength to weight ratio for all composite applications. PVCell® G-Foam is available in a wide range of formats with all standard cut patterns and finishes possible.
