Meeting increasing demands of reduced process costs and improved efficiency in aircraft interior manufacturing, Gurit has developed a range of qualified products based on PHG831, PHG860, PF811 and PF812 resin systems suitable for curing of sandwich panels in an isothermic press cycle without heating and cooling.
This hot-in/hot-out Crush-Core process results in fast manufacturing with curing-cycles less than 10 minutes and is employed for a highly automated production of curved interior sandwich panels such as sidewalls or ceilings.
The new generation Crush-Core prepregs PF811 and PF812 as used in Airbus’ A380 are especially designed to prove a light coloured appearance after curing for high varnish and decorative film coverage.
