The RG 650
The RG-650 is the newest member of the Mini 6.50 production class and is the first one to be built in the southern hemisphere. Designed by G Yacht Design and built in Argentina by Riotecna, the RG 650 is a One Design ocean racing boat; in accordance with the Miniclasse organisation. SP-High Modulus, the marine business of Gurit, has supplied Corecell™ and reinforcements to the build.
The Transat 650 is a solo transatlantic yacht race that starts in Western France and ends in Brazil covering over 4000 miles with a single stop in the Canary Islands.
The first boat has now been completed and the second is nearly complete. Once it is ready it will be shipped to La Rochelle and will be on display at the Transat 650 race village.
