Safety Advice for Liquid Epoxy Resins

SKIN CONTACT
Note: Although skin irritation potential is slight, all skin contact with epoxy resins should be avoided. All may cause minor skin irritation. This information is derived from both human experience and laboratory animal tests. The lower molecular weight epoxy resins are capable of causing skin sensitisation

EYE CONTACT  Eye contact with liquid epoxy resins should be avoided, but is expected to result in only slight transient pain and irritation.

INHALATION For liquid epoxy resins inhalation of vapours may contribute to allergic reactions particularly in situations where air circulation is poor or the materials are being heated.

INGESTION  All Gurit liquid epoxy resins are low in acute oral toxicity.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Gurit publishes a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for each of the products. Current copies of these sheets should be carefully read before any of the various epoxy products are handled, used, stored, or disposed of.

MSDS’s should also be consulted for information and instructions on containing and/or cleaning up spills and leaks, personal protection, and administering first aid.
