ALIGNMENT, CLAMPING AND ADJUSTMENT

LASER TRACKING SURFACE INSPECTION
All moulds are inspected with laser tracker to insure mould shape. These reports insure mould shape is within tolerance (+/1 0.5mm) before moving into assembly. In addition to the mould dimensionality, frames and plugs are also inspected to insure a precise tool is built.
CAD & FEA CAPABILITY
Red Maple has design, structural and electrical engineers that can design all aspects of plugs, moulds and accessories in-house. These technicians are specialised by department: surfacing, frames, accessories, electrical, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and infrastructure.
PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENTATION
For every mould we produce several drawings are needed and can be used by the customer if requested, these include:
- Complete Mould 3D model
- Mould frame drawing
- Plug frame and section drawings
- Heating wire sensor plan
- Turnover and clamping plans
- Transport drawing
- Laser tracker reports
DELIVERY TIME
Red Maple can design, produce, and install a new model of master plug within 5-6 weeks.
A typical lead time from handover of specifications and aerodynamic design to shipment of totally completed mould is 12 weeks with a 20 day lead time for additional moulds.
For more technical projects, maximum lead time to shipment would be approximately 4 months.
