Gurit Celebrates Five Successful Years of Operations in India

Since its establishment, Gurit India has cemented itself as a key pillar in the company’s global capabilities. After an intensive two-year period of plant construction starting in 2020, followed by three years of fully operational, high-performing manufacturing, Gurit is proud to reach this significant milestone.
The birth of Gurit India began in 2020 and wasn’t without its challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic brought with it a raft of challenging market conditions, impacting global supply chains, triggering lockdowns and creating consistently changing directives from Governments across the globe. Despite this, Gurit managed to successfully navigate complex statutory and regulatory processes while simultaneously designing and constructing two world-class manufacturing facilities in Chennai and Ahmedabad.

The first two years of Gurit India were dedicated to building the physical foundations of the facilities, as well as the organizational and operational systems behind them that would ensure their long-term success.
Having these foundations in place meant that the following three years of full operation delivered the consistent execution and operational reliability Gurit is known for. The strategic direction and management of both facilities put an emphasis on governance, quality and business excellence, ensuring the highest levels of product quality and responsiveness. This commitment to excellence continues to enable Gurit India to deliver a service that customers in India and beyond are confident in.
As 2025 comes to a close, and looking back over the last five years, Gurit India stands as a strong example of how carefully considered planning and design, backed by a laser-focused team, can create operationally successful manufacturing facilities, even in times of global uncertainty.
