BALTIC 67 PERFORMANCE CRUISER
Gurit engineered a lightweight, durable advanced composite structure for the Baltic Yachts 67ft Performance Cruiser, delivering superior stiffness, efficiency, and ease of handling for ocean racing and long-distance sailing.
Pink Gin
The structural design of the 54 metre sloop “Pink Gin VI” was a three and a half year undertaking and continues a longstanding relationship of providing comprehensive composite engineering to one of the world’s most successful builders of superyachts, Baltic Yachts
WEBBCO ELECTRIC FERRY
Gurit developed the complete structural design of Ika Rere, the first fully electric fast ferry in the southern hemisphere. A lightweight composite solution enabled a reduction of energy costs by 75% and CO₂ emissions by 220,000 kg in one year.

Hammerfest Tidal Turbine
Gurit engineers designed durable, high-performance composite blades for the HS1000 tidal turbine, ensuring reliable, efficient renewable energy generation in challenging marine conditions for 25 years.
Oceanwings Wingsail
Gurit’s engineering team was involved with the development of the Oceanwings automated wingsail – an innovative composite sail system designed to reduce fuel use and emissions in large commercial vessels.

ARCHITECTURE/CIVIL CASE STUDIES
SCOTT BASE
Gurit engineered the glass fiber sandwich panels for Scott Base’s geomagnetic huts, offering non-magnetic, insulated, weather-tight, and lightweight solutions for extreme Antarctic conditions and scientific accuracy.
Dome Observatory
A custom observatory dome at a new astronomy center in Tekapo, New Zealand, houses one of the world’s most famous Victorian-era telescopes. Gurit engineers were brought in to design the structure for the challenging shape, which integrates moving sections and a window through which the telescope views the stars.
