Responsible supply chain
We establish responsible procurement practices in terms of social, environmental, governance and economic aspects.
Sustainability is at the heart of our supply chain.
We work closely with our suppliers to understand the risks within the supply chain and collaborate to proactively mitigate them. Open channels of communication, a Supplier Code of Conduct, regular supplier audits, and training for our procurement teams are all part and parcel of Gurit’s approach to running a responsible supply chain.
Robust supply chain risk management.
We have established the foundations of a due diligence process and are implementing a robust supply chain risk mapping management system as part of this, allowing us to assess risks related to the environment, greenhouse gas emissions, health & safety, human rights, social practices and business ethics. Information from our suppliers helps us to build a supply chain risk map and manage related risks according to our sustainability priorities.
Did you know…?
Almost three quarters of Gurit’s greenhouse gas footprint is generated outside the factory gates, in our supply chain, highlighting the importance of engaging with our suppliers to identify hotspots and ultimately reduce the level of indirect emissions.
We have identified potential greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, mainly linked to transportation, chemicals and packaging, and have set ourselves new targets to reduce scope 3 emissions.
