When used in panel form, Gurit’s Kerdyn™ PET structural core material, made with up to 100% recycled content, can offer a significantly lighter weight alternative to solid MDF or wood panels, resulting in easier handling, reduced energy requirements – and higher performance.

With superior insulation properties and moisture resistance, Kerdyn™ PET panels are suitable for a variety of applications including truck beds, recreational vehicle walls, office furnishings, marine interiors, and other applications where low weight is required.

Kerdyn™ PET core is a proven lightweight thermoplastic core material with a good balance of mechanical properties and cost for a wide range of applications and processes. Made with up to 100% recycled content, Kerdyn™ PET is a sustainable structural core which can withstand high temperatures, has low resin uptake and offers ease of machining. It is also available in a fire retardant version.
