Gurit receives silver award for sustainability performance

Gurit (SIX Swiss Exchange: GURN) has been awarded a silver medal for its sustainability performance from EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest sustainability rating agencies. This places Gurit in the top 12% of all EcoVadis-rated companies.  

The assessment reviews how a company manages over 20 corporate social responsibility and sustainability criteria in terms of the environment, governance and business ethics, labour and human rights as well as responsible procurement. The rating evaluates a company’s management systems and policies and is based on global standards such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative and ISO-certifications.

After being awarded bronze last year, Gurit has made further progress in its sustainability efforts and is now positioned in the 88^th percentile by EcoVadis.

As a supplier to the renewable energy sector and true to the company’s vision “With passion for a sustainable future”, Gurit has formed a sustainability organisation with eight dedicated workstreams, involving experts and representatives from across the organisation, and is successfully engaging many of its employees in different sustainability projects worldwide.
